Shay Mitchell

Shay Mitchell is a Canadian actor, model, and businesswoman. Her best-known role is as Emily Fields on the Freeform show Pretty Little Liars. Shay Lo is the nickname of an avid Jennifer Lopez Mitchell fan who became popular among acquaintances. When she was a kid, Shay Lo developed an interest in performance arts. She also discussed with her parents the possibility of going into this field. Mitchell wanted to study lessons in acting at Toronto following her success in dance and modeling. Mitchell began her career in the production of a few television commercials. After landing guest roles and some small roles in television, she got her first break Pretty Little Liars when cast in the role of Emily Fields. The acting abilities of Mitchell were highly praised by critics as well as fans. She then went on to make a mark on the big screen through films such as Dreamland, Mother's Day and The Possession of Hannah Grace. The Psychological thriller You, in which she was a part of, earned her greater recognition. Shay Mitchell's writing skills have expanded beyond acting. In collaboration with Michaela Blney, she authored an adult novel titled Bliss.
